Golf Day

2009

On 17th and 18th June 2009 we proudly hosted and sponsored The Kent Golf Day.

Held at the prestigeous Tudor Park Marriott Hotel, at Bearsted near Maidstone, Kent one hundred and sixty golfers play in glorious weather.

This is the second year of The Kent Golf Day where we built on the huge success of last year's event where over £15,000 was raised in one day.

In harder economic times we suspected fundraising would be more difficult. Not so as over £22,000 was raised, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the golfers and our sponsors, including Beadles VW, , I-KOS, Neptune Investment Management and Skandia.

A massive thanks also goes to Taylor Alison Golf, the renouned corporate golf specialists who chose this to be their CSR project of 2009.  

The beneficiary of the event was the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, a charity formed by Bobby's widow, Stephanie Moore MBE, after losing his battle against Bowel Cancer in 1993. We were thrilled to welcome Mrs Moore as our guest speaker in the evening.
